fo sho man xD i think i have something similar size ty
For a vgg, can u replace the super tip barrels with comssa barrels?
You can if you want to. don't know whether it would spin worse or better (which is dependent on the spinner's preferences too). It would feel like there is more momentum because more of mod's total mass will be focused at the ends, unlike a normal VGG Mod.
Comssa barrels will be slightly more tapered I believe, so you probably would want the thinner ends in the middle so you don't have noticeably bulging middle (unless the bulging middle is what you want). Also since Comssa barrels have an overall smaller diameter than Super Tips, you will need a thinner central connecting piece. Anything that fits inside stiffly will probably do. I think the inner tube of a Bic Round Stic Grip pen with the tip cut off might fit (see this image), not sure though. Also, the RSVP cap cylinders at each end will probably fit more loosely on the Comssa barrels, so you would either need more tape, remove the cap cylinders from the mod entirely, or use thinner caps (can't think of an example of a thinner cap of the of my head).
In the end, a Comssa VGG might seem more janky because of the steps required to make everything fit together at the ends. You can certainly try to make it if you want to though if you're willing to try it!
pilot neogel would probably work for a smaller cap
Is there any way to hollow out a supertip cap?
I don't think its been done.
ive done it just use a dremel
In G3 modding is often suggested to file down the bumps on the back part of the body before wrapping tape around it and put on the cap. Why?
1. If you put thin grips without filing , the grip will be torn.
2. It affects wiper tricks.
3. It affects the spinnability of the pen overall.
So please, file down the bumps before continuing.
Im a bit confused now. How is that possible?
Just to be sure, here is an example of what im talking about:
Step 2 of CYY G3 tutorial: http://www.upsb.info/xforum/index.php?threads/cyys-personal-g3-mod.6439/
EDIT: My bad: the tutorial refers to the front of the pen (the bump that holds the cap when the pen is "closed") and not the back as i was thinking (like when you use the pen). I figured it out. Thanks anyway!
