a lot of epic matchups :D

to think i'd rematch katts in WT so soon after facing him at NPF2017 technical division, it'll be closer battle than my r2 and r3 (finally)

gsk8 had bad luck to face gsl this round; sira has advantage over scream unless scream has been hiding material for previous rounds

darkt vs van = whoever wins has one of easiest paths to R5 of any WT, hope they can show some stuff they didn't use in earlier combos

My predictions for R5 are :
    i.suk (even if I love Katts :/)
    Gsk8
Scream (yes I think he'll come with new links)
    And darkt

Hmmm, 8 in exe from Menowa ?
Has he understood that exe isn't about style ?

    Someone pls stop Menowa

I imagine guys on JEB like "wtf are these westerns doing? They have no idea on how to analyse PS"

    Good luck Van!

    EDIT:
    Gsk8 wins over GSL btw
And I'm pretty sure (or at least I hope) Scream will up his game now. If you played me all his combos from this WT I wouldn't be able to tell which was which, except for his prearp- I MEAN his R3 combo with that appealing thumb crossed linkage.

Im surprised everyone is predicting gsk8 over gsl and scream over sira

Imo scream is just gonna recycle again and gsl is stronger

very exciting match but too early for i.suk and Katts. this is a pretty close match and a little unpredictable. For my opinion i.suk had advantage with this. Katts having issues with his combo from past round. and i.suk still overkilling, he got the momentum and hopefully he may got a luck. haha

DArKT vs. Van. idk. haha goodluck to both of them.

upredictable match over GSL and gsk8...
from the past round GSL trying new stuff, it's either he still have or lacking for materials. But I still bet for GSL for this round.

Scream? just hiding something or just by luck? haha with this match I go for Sirapob, no signs of strugle, and I think he still have material for this round. but still! lets wait what scream has.

Even Scream hiding some great materials, I will support Sira to create something beyond that :D

Euhhhh... Seriously, Sirapob ? Scream know how to make a consistent combo, with a lot of subtlety. In term of construction and style, he is better, on the paper, than Sirapob. For away.

And by the way, difficulty is not only based on tricks used. That depend of their "layout", of their execution. Construction is a part of difficulty in a combo. And Sirapob is not the best for that : he past different sequence of tricks and hope, after, that will be a combo because he film it in a video. I see differents combos pasted together in one video.

And for be creative, you don"t just have to put a strange link or trick in a combo randomly. You have to incorporate it with ingeniosity with the other tricks, for make a consistent combo.

About Scream's combo, that's not because his tricks/links look similar that they are similar. Look his combo in slow motion : with Vain, he is one of the best in the world for make that type of combo, extremly subtlety. That's very difficult and original.

Sirapob has a lot of qualities, but i think he's overrated in this comments and scream underrated.

And gollumsk8 > GSL ? Just like that ? I love gollumsk8's style and i hope he'll win, but he face one of the best. GSL is the more unpredictable and versatile spinner here. So, that's very hard to fight him. Again, you underrated a spinner here.

    (sorry for the experimental english)

perhaps, but the main problem in terms WT is: in past 3 rounds, scream has really made only 1 combo worth of material; there's heaps of recycling, so his scores have suffered heavily for that - his skill and density of material are strong, but he does not make full use of his ability in his combos (just IMO)

also, sending draft of his WT combo to a major CV a week before R3 deadline is a bit strange, someone who knows about how competition works would not have done that

gsl is likely to win, but i hope gsk8 can go beyond his previous rounds ^^

I feel that katts' combo is fairly underwhelming. I think the 2p2h sections are certainly fun and well executed, but I'm not seeing that combo anywhere near i.suk's technical level.
Granted, I'm not claiming to have good judgement on this, but it seems like this match is no contest to me...

thoughts from people more qualified than me?

Not sure if I'm more qualified but I have the same feelings. kAtts really seemed underwhelming here. It's almost as if he substituted harder links for 2p2h which is just old at this point. Also the opposite hand flair is pretty old too.

Can't agree more with you. I'd say the most impressive part for Katts is his finisher, but even that is not an unprecedented concept/trick. i.suk's vid is more than just overkill, even if his execution was worse than his past rounds. A smarter strategy for Katts would have been putting his best on 1h1p, and focused on execution points or at least tried out something reckless. This particular matchup was a one-and-only opportunity, and I could only say I am a little disappointed how Katts did not go on a direct technical battle with i.suk.

I feel like Katts did the only thing he could do. There was no way he would win in a technical battle vs I.suk, so he (literally) just put everything into his 2h. That being said, I'm sure menowa would vote for him  and I guess he's the first person to actually give effort in a battle vs i.suk :/
